Davenport Public Library

Summer Reading Program

The Davenport Public Library’s Summer Reading Program offers free programs for kids and teens all summer long! Our READ WILD summer, sponsored by the FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library, is a partnership with the Figge Art Museum and a celebration of the world of Where the Wild Things Are.

Visit any Davenport Public Library location from June 1st through July 31st to pick up a reading log or print one from here. Keep track of the books you read and receive PRIZES! Kids and teens who finish the Summer Reading Program will also get to put their name in the grand prize drawing for fabulous prize baskets, gift cards, and more!

Kick off your summer with our Summer Reading Program Kickoff Day on Saturday, June 2nd at the Fairmount Street Branch (3000 N Fairmount Street). Activities will be taking place throughout the day, including a story time, puppet show, crafts, and a movie viewing!

Visit the library’s website at www.davenportlibrary.com to learn more about the free, fun events we’ll be having all summer long, including book clubs, Lego Nights, movies, crafts and art projects, Minecraft, and much more!
